This Imperial Stout presents an opulent sensory experience, driven by its 10.6% ABV and a decadent infusion of Cacao, Tonka, and Vanilla. The Cacao provides a foundation of intense dark chocolate and fudgy richness, while the addition of Tonka beans introduces complex, exotic layers of spiced almond, woodsy cinnamon, and a hint of tobacco. Vanilla rounds out the profile, lending a creamy sweetness that softens the assertive roasted malt character of coffee and charred grain. The result is a harmonious, warming liquid dessert that balances its immense viscosity with a firm, integrated bitterness typical of the style.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, persistent, deep tan head that leaves significant lacing and demonstrates high viscosity through visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity featuring a complex blend of bittersweet chocolate from the Cacao and the spicy, marzipan-like fragrance of Tonka. Underlying notes of espresso, toasted malt, and creamy Vanilla are prominent. Low dark fruit esters of prune and raisin are present, accompanied by a clean, smooth alcohol warmth.

Taste. Initial impression is rich and syrupy with flavors of dark cocoa and roasted coffee beans. The Tonka provides a unique mid-palate complexity resembling clove and almond, while Vanilla provides a lingering sweetness. Bitterness is medium-high but feels balanced against the heavy malt backbone. The finish is long and warming with a bittersweet chocolate aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A significant but gentle alcohol warmth is felt in the throat, without any harshness or solvent qualities.
