Life’s Carousel is a vibrant American Pale Ale that masterfully showcases a West Coast sensory profile despite its sessionable strength. The experience is defined by a punchy aromatic bouquet of resinous pine and bright citrus, driven by the classic combination of Simcoe and Cascade hops. On the palate, Simcoe provides a distinct earthy and forest-floor depth, while Cascade delivers its signature grapefruit zest and floral highlights. A lean, bready malt backbone supports the hop-forward intensity without adding weight, leading to a firm, clean bitterness. A low, neutral grainy malt sweetness provides a brief platform for a firm, clean bitterness (approximately 35 IBU). The Simcoe adds an earthy complexity to the mid-palate. It finishes dry and crisp with a lingering floral and resinous aftertaste that is clean and lacks harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a lively mouth-feel. There is no perceived alcohol warmth, and the finish is smooth without astringency.
