Bottle Logic Brewing Return To Saturn

This Wild Specialty Beer is a sophisticated sensory interpretation of the classic Saturn cocktail. Its character is defined by the vibrant, tropical acidity of passion fruit and a sharp spark of fresh lemon juice. Aging in Tom Cat gin barrels imparts complex layers of botanical spice and herbal depth, which harmonize with the nutty, floral sweetness of house-made orgeat and the spiced, aromatic profile of falernum—bringing notes of ginger, lime, and clove to the forefront. At a potent 12% ABV, it balances intense fruit-forward tartness with a sophisticated, cocktail-inspired complexity that lingers with a dry, botanical finish.
Appearance. Deep golden to amber-orange with a persistent haze from the heavy fruit addition and orgeat components. Pours with a thin, ivory-colored head that dissipates rapidly due to high acidity and alcohol content, leaving minimal lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. The nose is dominated by pungent, tropical passion fruit and bright lemon zest. Beneath the fruit lies a complex cocktail of aromatics: herbal gin botanicals, spicy clove and ginger from the falernum, and a soft, marzipan-like sweetness from the orgeat. A subtle funk and sharp lactic acidity provide a wild edge.
Taste. The initial impression is a burst of electric tartness from the passion fruit and lemon. The mid-palate reveals layers of almond-like sweetness and a nuanced spice rack of ginger and clove. Gin barrel influence provides a dry, woody backbone with herbal flourishes. Bitterness is negligible, replaced by a firm, clean acidity. The finish is long and complex, transitioning from sweet fruit to a spicy, botanical warmth.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a surprisingly lush, almost creamy texture from the orgeat, despite the high acidity. Carbonation is moderate. A significant, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 12% ABV. Very low astringency, with a crisp, mouth-watering finish.
