This 13.5% Imperial Stout presents an opulent sensory experience, merging a viscous Rye-heavy double mash base with the nostalgic essence of a campfire s'more. Aged in Bourbon barrels, it delivers layers of rich cacao nibs and toasted marshmallows that weave through a complex tapestry of dark roasted malts. The graham crackers contribute a subtle honeyed biscuit note, while the Rye adds a distinctive spicy depth. Aromas of charred oak and vanilla from the barrel mingle with deep molasses and dried dark fruits. It is a decadent, velvety pour that balances intense sweetness with a sophisticated barrel-derived warmth and a lingering, bittersweet chocolate finish.
Appearance. Opaque jet black (40+ SRM) with a dense, creamy, deep tan head. Remarkable viscosity is evident through thick, slow-forming legs on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity; a decadent bouquet of dark chocolate and cacao nibs transitions into sweet vanilla and marshmallow. Prominent Bourbon notes of charred oak and caramel are supported by a spicy Rye malt character and subtle honeyed graham cracker. Esters of raisins and prunes add complexity to the deep roasted grain profile.
