Bojak Brewing Triple Calyspo
NEIPA - New England IPA 9.5 º
This Double IPA is a high-intensity sensory experience, evolving the brewery's flagship into a decadent, hazy powerhouse. An explosive aromatic profile driven by heavy dry-hopping with Citra and Mosaic, alongside their concentrated Cryo counterparts, delivers saturated notes of overripe mango, pink grapefruit, and passionfruit. Despite its substantial 9.5% ABV, the beer maintains a luscious, juice-like character. The use of Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo provides a clean, punchy hop resin that permeates the palate. Its full-bodied nature offers a velvety sweetness that balances the firm bitterness, leading to a long, tropical, and warming finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (SRM 7-9). Opaque with a persistent, dense, creamy white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent notes of mango, pineapple, and tangerine from the Citra and Mosaic hops. A supportive, neutral to slightly grainy malt background is present, alongside light alcohol notes and a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors of citrus pith, tropical fruit, and light resin. The malt character is soft and supportive with a noticeable residual sweetness that enhances the 'juicy' impression. Bitterness is firm but smooth, leading to a medium-sweet finish with a lingering tropical and warming aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. Noticeable alcohol warmth is present but smooth and well-integrated, without harshness or astringency.
