American IPA 6.5 º
This West Coast IPA presents a modern, hop-forward profile built upon a crisp foundation of Pilsner and Extra Pale malt. The intentional dry hop addition of Strata, Idaho 7, and Simcoe drives a complex sensory experience, beginning with sweet aromatic notes of tangerine, bright citrus, and pithy grapefruit. A subtle, resinous dankness provides depth, contrasting the clean, pale malt base. At 6.5% ABV, the beer delivers a firm bitterness expected of the style, balanced by a lean body that allows the vibrant hop oils to remain the focus. The result is a refreshing, decidedly bitter American IPA with a clean finish.
Appearance. Light gold (approx. 4–6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, white, persistent frothy head that leaves light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and citrus zest. Secondary layers of passionfruit and resinous dankness are present. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral backdrop. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of citrus, tangerine, and tropical fruit. Low, grainy-sweet malt flavor provides minimal support. Medium-high to high bitterness that is firm but not harsh. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth. No detectable astringency.
