This Irish Extra Stout, a collaboration with Fermin Muguruza, pours an opaque jet-black with a dense, persistent tan head. The sensory journey begins with an intense aromatic profile of freshly roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a fragrant, distinctive vanilla. On the palate, a prominent initial sweetness of caramel and toasted malts provides a silky foundation before transitioning into a more assertive, roasted character. The mouthfeel is notably smooth and full, leading to a long-lasting, medium-dry finish that balances the malt richness. It offers a sophisticated, robust profile where decadent sweetness meets a clean, toasted bitterness.

Appearance. Jet black (40 SRM). Opaque. Abundant, thick, tan, creamy head with excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate aroma. Noticeable sweet vanilla and light caramel notes. Low earthy hop character and low fermentation esters.

Taste. Initial sweet impression of toasted malt and caramel. Transitions to a strong roasted grain character featuring espresso and unsweetened cocoa. Medium-high bitterness. Finish is long and medium-dry with a lingering roasted aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body. Silky and creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Smooth without significant grain astringency.
