Bodega Ergo Mincay presents a sophisticated fusion of a tart Berliner Weisse base and the robust character of Carignan grape must. This Grape Ale pours a brilliant ruby hue, reflecting the deep pigment of the red grape skins. The aroma is a vibrant medley of dark berries and plums, underscored by a crisp lactic acidity and a whisper of rustic earthiness. On the palate, the sharp tartness of the base beer provides a refreshing counterpoint to the rich, vinous depth of the Carignan grapes. A medium-light body and high carbonation create a sparkling, dry finish with a faint, elegant alcoholic warmth.

Appearance. Deep ruby to burgundy in color. Topped with a fine-beaded, light pinkish-white head with moderate to low retention. Brilliant clarity with no haze.

Aroma. Moderate-high intensity featuring prominent varietal Carignan grape notes of dark cherries, plums, and a hint of spice. The malt character is low, offering a faint wheat breadiness. Aromas are accented by a clean, sharp lactic tartness. Hop aroma is absent.

Taste. Initial impression is a refreshing burst of lactic acidity coupled with rich red fruit flavors. The Carignan must contributes layers of blackberry and plum with a subtle rustic, earthy undertone. Malt is supportive and neutral, providing a light wheat cracker base. Bitterness is very low. The finish is remarkably dry and crisp, with a lingering vinous aftertaste and a faint tannic grip.
