Board Splitboard is a modern take on the American IPA, utilizing a unique fermentation profile from Kveik and Verdant yeast strains to enhance its sensory depth. The aroma is dominated by high-intensity notes of ripe apricot and peach, a hallmark of the Verdant yeast, coupled with bright orange peel and tropical mango. On the palate, a crisp, grainy malt backbone provides a steady platform for firm bitterness and layers of resinous pine and citrus zest. This 6% ABV ale finishes remarkably clean with a lingering touch of stone fruit, showcasing the expressive, ester-friendly nature of Kveik in a classic, hop-forward framework.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (8 SRM). Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with dense lacing. Clarity is slightly hazy, consistent with the yeast selection.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma of tropical mango, orange zest, and resinous pine. Moderate yeast esters present as ripe apricot and peach. Low, grainy malt sweetness supports the aromatic bouquet without competition.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of citrus rind and stone fruit. Medium-low grainy maltiness provides a light cracker-like base. Bitterness is firm and medium-high (approx. 55 IBU), carrying through to a dry, clean finish. The aftertaste is hoppy with lingering notes of peach and pine.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high. Provides a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any astringency.
