This Specialty IPA artfully bridges the gap between a Belgian-style wheat ale and an American IPA. The sensory profile is defined by a vivid hop bouquet of Simcoe, Cascade, and Citra®, delivering layers of bright grapefruit and tropical resin, while the addition of Huell Melon provides a distinctive honeydew and strawberry nuance. Beneath the hop intensity lies a creamy, smooth foundation of Wheat and Oats, characteristic of Blue Moon’s heritage. Traditional accents of coriander and orange peel integrate seamlessly with the fruity hops, resulting in a refreshing, unfiltered ale with a crisp, hoppy finish and balanced bitterness.
Appearance. Pale straw to deep gold (5-8 SRM). Unfiltered and hazy with a persistent, dense white head that leaves moderate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high hop intensity featuring prominent citrus, tropical fruit, and distinct melon character. A light spicy coriander note and sweet orange peel complement a bready, grainy wheat malt character. Clean fermentation profile with light fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with citrus and melon flavors. Mid-palate reveals a soft malt sweetness from wheat and oats. Hop bitterness is moderate, providing balance without being harsh. Finishes dry to slightly off-dry with lingering orange peel and spicy coriander character.
