Blomberg Caramel is an evocative Belgian Dubbel that pours a deep, intense caramel with striking copper reflections and a soft, tan head. The sensory journey is defined by a sophisticated richness, layering notes of licorice, decadent chocolate, and wildflower honey. Brewed with authentic miel de las Hurdes, the malt profile leans into caramelized sugars and toasted grains without becoming roasted. The fermentation provides characteristic dark fruit esters and a subtle peppery spice, while the addition of honey manifests in a unique, rum-like warmth on the finish. It is a complex, medium-full bodied ale where sweetness and spice find an elegant, lingering balance.

Appearance. Intense caramel color with deep copper nuances (14-17 SRM). Features a large, soft tan head with good retention and fine lacing. Generally clear with an attractive reddish depth.

Aroma. Moderately strong aroma of rich malt, caramelized sugar, and milk chocolate. Distinctive notes of honey and a hint of licorice are complemented by dark fruit esters such as plum and raisin. Low peppery phenols and a faint, perfumy rum-like alcohol presence are detectable.

Taste. Initial impression is malty-rich with flavors of caramel, honey, and dark chocolate. The mid-palate reveals sophisticated licorice and dried fruit complexity.
