Moon Cloak presents a luminous take on the Double IPA, evoking a crisp, wintry landscape through a vibrant hop profile. High-intensity aromas of candied tangerine peel and sharp, frostbitten currant surge forward, grounded by a cool, resinous evergreen needle character. Despite its 7.5% strength, the beer remains remarkably drinkable, focusing on hop-derived complexity over heavy malt weight. A clean, neutral malt backbone provides a pale, shimmering foundation, allowing the interplay of citrus zest and forest floor notes to shine. It finishes with a firm, drying bitterness that sparkles like fresh snow, leaving a lingering trail of pine and citrus oils.

Appearance. Pours a brilliant, pale gold to light amber (approx. 7 SRM) with excellent clarity. It features a moderate-sized, persistent, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by modern hop characteristics of zesty tangerine, tart red currant, and a distinct resinous evergreen scent. The malt character is very low and neutral, providing a clean, crackery background. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus zest and resinous pine. High hop bitterness is assertive but smooth, never reaching harshness. The malt flavor is low and supportive, lacking any heavy caramel or toast. It transitions into a very dry, crisp finish with a lingering aftertaste of citrus oils and forest resin.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, clean texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is restrained and well-integrated, with no hop-derived astringency.
