Fruit Beer 7.5 º 16 IBU
This Fruit Beer, built upon a refined Pilsen base, presents a vibrant sensory tribute to hand-selected raspberries from El Bolsón. Often referred to as the "Champagne of beers," it strikes a sophisticated balance between bright, tart red fruit and a clean, effervescent structure. The addition of sugar elevates the strength to 7.5%, providing a noticeable warmth while ensuring a crisp, dry finish that highlights the natural acidity of the fruit. The delicate crackery notes of the base malt support a lush, authentic raspberry character that feels expertly integrated, reflecting over two decades of brewing heritage in every sip.
Appearance. A deep golden base with a distinct pink to reddish blush; pours with a moderate, fine-beaded pinkish head that shows fair retention and light lacing. Generally clear, though a very faint fruit-derived haze may be present.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh, jammy raspberries dominates the nose. Beneath the fruit, a light, crackery malt presence is detectable. Hop aroma is very low to nonexistent, and the fermentation character is clean, allowing the El Bolsón fruit to provide the primary aromatic complexity without interference from esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of authentic raspberry flavor, blending natural fruit sweetness with a gentle, refreshing tartness. The malt base provides a subtle grainy backbone. Bitterness is low, serving only to balance the profile. The finish is notably dry and clean, with the added sugar having fermented out to leave a lingering fruit skin essence rather than a cloying sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that creates a prickly, champagne-like effervescence on the tongue. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Smooth texture, devoid of harsh tannins or astringency.
