Pale Ale 7 º
Bleder Gepetto is a robust American IPA that bridges the gap between classic resinous profiles and modern textures. Standing at 7% ABV, it presents a bold hop-forward character dominated by pungent pine and resinous undertones, supported by a clean barley malt base. The addition of oats softens the palate, introducing a velvety smoothness that balances the firm, persistent bitterness. Bright citrus and subtle woodsy notes emerge in the aroma, leading to a crisp, dry finish. This beer exemplifies the style’s assertive nature while maintaining a refined, approachable mouthfeel that highlights its evergreen-inspired complexity and clean fermentation profile.
Appearance. Deep gold with light amber highlights (SRM 8-11). It displays a slight haze and is crowned by a dense, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of fresh pine resin and crushed needles, layered over secondary citrus zest. A low, clean grainy maltiness with a hint of toasted bread supports the hops. Fermentation is clean with very low esters.
Taste. Initial impression is an assertive, resinous bitterness that lingers into the finish. Hop flavors of pine and grapefruit pith dominate. The malt backbone is clean, featuring toasted barley and a subtle roundness from the oats. The finish is dry and hoppy with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable smoothness and light creaminess derived from the oats. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at the finish.
