This Double IPA showcases a vibrant, modern hop profile driven by the combination of Triumph and Nelson hops. The nose is immediate and intense, offering a sophisticated blend of crushed white grapes, gooseberry, and ripe peach, underscored by subtle orange zest and a whisper of pine. On the palate, a crisp, clean malt base allows the hop complexity to shine, delivering layers of tropical fruit and stone fruit before transitioning into a firm, clean bitterness. At 8.2% ABV, the finish is remarkably dry and refreshing, with a well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances the lingering, resinous hop character.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (approx. 7–9 SRM). Pours with a moderate, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing. Generally clear to slightly hazy, reflecting modern hop-forward brewing techniques.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant notes of gooseberry and Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Nelson hops, coupled with peach and apricot aromatics from the Triumph additions. Background of clean, crackery malt and a faint hint of citrus peel. Fermentation is neutral with no distracting esters.

Taste. Initial punch of tropical and stone fruit flavors, primarily peach and white grape. The malt provides a light, grainy support without any caramel sweetness. Bitterness is high but smooth and lacks harshness. The finish is very dry, emphasizing a long, fruity, and resinous hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. There is a gentle, sophisticated alcohol warmth that is well-integrated and never solventy.
