This Munich Helles presents a sophisticated evolution of the classic Bavarian lager, marrying traditional grainy-sweet Continental Pilsner malt with the distinct influence of American Oak. The maturation process on vanilla-infused oak chips introduces a creamy, dessert-like depth that complements the beer's naturally soft, rounded palate. Delicate herbal and floral hop notes provide a gentle counterpoint to the subtle toasted wood and aromatic vanilla bean character. Appearance. Pale gold (4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a persistent, creamy white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring grainy-sweet malt and a distinct aromatic layer of vanilla bean. Low floral and herbal hop notes are present, backed by a clean fermentation profile and a subtle hint of toasted wood.
Taste. Initial impression is moderately malty with a suggestion of sweetness from the vanilla. Soft, rounded flavors of grainy-sweet malt dominate, balanced by low spicy hop flavor and restrained bitterness.
