Blacks Brewing Black IPA
This Black IPA offers a striking visual contrast, pouring a deep, opaque obsidian topped with a persistent, creamy beige head. The sensory experience is defined by an olfactory ambush of vibrant tropical fruit and stone fruit hop notes, seamlessly integrated with subtle, restrained aromas of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Despite its dark appearance, the palate remains surprisingly nimble, emphasizing a clean, hop-forward profile where fruity characters meet a firm bitterness. The finish is remarkably dry and crisp, leaving a lingering trail of delicate roast and resinous hop character without the heavy weight or burnt astringency of a traditional stout.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma characterized by stone fruit, tropical notes, and a hint of resin. Low malt support provides subtle nuances of bitter chocolate, coffee, and light toast. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with prominent citrus and berry flavors. Malt flavor is low to medium, offering restrained chocolate and coffee notes that do not clash with the hops. Bitterness is medium-high and firm. The finish is dry to off-dry with a clean, lingering hoppy and lightly roasted aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Moderate carbonation. Very low alcohol warmth, contributing to a high level of drinkability.
