This vibrant American IPA presents a modern West Coast profile where tropical fruit takes center stage. A punchy addition of pineapple melds seamlessly with the candy-like tropical notes of El Dorado hops, creating a deeply layered sensory experience of sun-ripened fruit and bright citrus. Beneath the fruit-forward intensity, a lean, pale malt base provides a clean canvas, ensuring the hop-driven bitterness remains crisp and refreshing. The finish is characteristically dry, honoring the West Coast intent, leaving a lingering impression of resinous pine and succulent pineapple zest that invites a crisp, clean finish.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (7-9 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, frothy white head that shows good persistence and leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by fresh, tart pineapple and the specific tropical fruit characteristics of El Dorado hops, reminiscent of mango and pear. Low grainy-sweet malt provides a subtle backdrop. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl.
Taste. Leading with a bold, layered pineapple flavor that transitions into moderate tropical fruit and stone fruit hop notes. Medium-high bitterness is clean and assertive, supported by a low, grainy malt presence with a touch of toasted cracker. The balance is decidedly hop-forward, finishing dry with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a prickly refreshment. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated, with no astringency from the fruit or hops.
