BlackPig.Brew.Co COLLAB X FAUVE
This American IPA, crafted in the contemporary Cold IPA style, showcases a vibrant and lean profile. The inclusion of Corn alongside a pale Barley base creates a crisp, straw-colored canvas that allows the hop duo of Talus and Barbe Rouge to excel. The nose is greeted by a fragrant bouquet of pink grapefruit, resinous sage, and dried rose petals from the Talus, while Barbe Rouge contributes delicate layers of ripe strawberry and red currant. A clean lager yeast fermentation ensures a bone-dry, snappy finish, emphasizing a firm bitterness and high carbonation that makes the bright hop-derived fruit notes pop against the neutral malt backdrop.
Appearance. Pale gold (6 SRM); brilliant clarity; medium-sized, bright white head with excellent persistence and fine, soapy lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring grapefruit pith, pine resin, and floral rose (Talus), followed by distinct red berry and strawberry notes (Barbe Rouge). Malt is low and neutral with a slight grainy-sweetness. Very clean fermentation profile with no yeast esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus and berry. Hop flavors of grapefruit, sage, and strawberry dominate a very low, neutral, grainy malt backbone. Bitterness is firm and medium-high (approx. 50 IBU), providing a clean, sharp edge. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth but very crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the dry finish. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated; no astringency or harshness.

Cette recette a été brassée chez Black Pig avec Élise qui est allée leur rendre visite dans le cadre du Jura Craft Beer Festival. C'est donc une 3ème lager houblonnée qu'on retrouve sur notre taplist, cette fois dans le style Cold IPA, avec un généreux houblonnage Strata, Talus et Barbe Rouge. C'est fruité, amer et hautement pintable à seulement 5,7% d'alcool ! Canettes 44cL.
