This Imperial Stout presents an imposing sensory profile defined by a full year of maturation in American Rye Whiskey barrels. The primary impact is a sophisticated blend of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and charred oak, accented by the distinctive spicy pepper and grain notes characteristic of the rye spirit. On the palate, deep layers of blackcurrant and dried fig emerge alongside a robust roasted malt backbone. The barrel aging imparts smooth vanilla and toasted coconut undertones that soften the intense bitterness. A lingering, warming finish of dark-roast coffee and spirit-soaked wood defines this complex, velvety, and deeply harmonious experience.

Appearance. Jet black and fully opaque (40+ SRM). It pours with a dense, dark tan head that shows moderate retention, eventually fading to a thick ring. High viscosity and alcohol content are evident by the prominent legs clinging to the glass.
