Blackout Brewing

This Double IPA radiates an intense hop presence, masterfully showcasing the concentrated interplay of Citra and Mosaic Cryo hops. The nose is a saturated bouquet of tropical mango, citrus zest, and ripe blueberry, underpinned by a clean, neutral malt profile that keeps the focus squarely on the lupulin impact. On the palate, a firm, crisp bitterness cuts through a lean body, delivering saturated flavors of grapefruit and stone fruit. Brewed with the precision characteristic of the Bereta facility, it maintains high drinkability despite its 8% strength, finishing remarkably dry with a lingering, resinous fruit finish that invites the next sip.

Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange with excellent clarity. Topped by a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pink grapefruit, passionfruit, and crushed berries. A supporting, neutral, grainy maltiness lingers in the background with a very clean fermentation profile and a hint of smooth alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and citrus hop flavors. High hop bitterness is firm but lacks harshness, supported by a low, unobtrusive malt character. Features flavors of mango and citrus peel. Finishes medium-dry to dry with a lingering, clean hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crispness that aids drinkability. Features a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
