Double Hyper is a concentrated showcase of New Zealand terroir, leveraging a potent combination of Riwaka and Motueka hops alongside Riwaka Hop Kief for maximum aromatic impact. This Double IPA leads with an aggressive sensory profile of overripe passionfruit, pink grapefruit, and distinctive lime zest. The pale malt bill remains intentionally lean to allow the high hop oils to dominate, resulting in a clean, punchy experience. At 8% ABV, the beer carries a well-integrated warmth that supports its firm bitterness. It concludes with a crisp, dry finish and a lingering resinous citrus character that defines the modern approach to the style.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (SRM 7-9); brilliant clarity with a tall, white, persistent head that leaves fine lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward bouquet featuring pungent passionfruit, grapefruit, and crushed lime. Secondary notes of pine resin and light tropical melon. Malt is neutral and clean with a faint crackery quality; low fruity esters and a subtle, smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial citrus and tropical fruit flavors of grapefruit and lime dominate. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a soft background for the high hop bitterness. The profile is clean and devoid of harshness, finishing very dry with a long, resinous, and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the hop concentrates. Medium-high carbonation. Noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth without being hot or solventy.
