Dark Euphoria (batch 1) is a massive, highly atypical interpretation of a British Brown Ale, presenting as a luxurious blend of imperial stout aged in Port wine barrels and barleywine aged in Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve Scotch barrels. This 11% masterpiece marries the rich caramel, toffee, and nutty core of the classic British style with intense, vinous dark fruit notes of red grape and plum from the Port, alongside a sophisticated wave of honeyed malt, peat smoke, and oaky vanilla from the Scotch whisky barrels. Warming, complex, and velvety, it stretches the style's boundaries into an opulent, warming sensory experience.
Appearance. Deep, dark reddish-brown with brilliant clarity when held to the light. Crowned by a low, persistent light tan head that leaves delicate, sparse lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity.
