Cubist presents an imposing and decadent sensory journey, characteristic of a high-gravity Imperial Stout. The aroma is a rich tapestry of bittersweet chocolate and espresso, lifted by a distinct floral honey sweetness and a toasted, cracker-like note from the biscuit-forward malt bill. On the palate, the 10.5% ABV manifests as a smooth, integrated warmth that carries deep flavors of dark fruit—think prunes and figs—melding into a velvety finish. The honey addition tempers the aggressive roasted bitterness, resulting in a complex balance of charred grain and luxurious sweetness that lingers long after the final sip.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40 SRM); a thick, persistent deep-tan head leaves dense lacing on the glass, while high viscosity creates visible legs.

Aroma. High intensity; prominent layers of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans are complemented by a unique honeyed floral note and toasty, biscuit malt character. Subtle esters of raisin and plum emerge as it warms, alongside a clean, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. Bold initial impression of dark roasted grain and cocoa, quickly followed by a rich, honey-like sweetness that coats the mid-palate. The biscuit malt provides a firm bready base, supporting moderate hop bitterness that prevents the finish from becoming cloying. Notes of black currant and toasted nuts persist in the lingering, bittersweet aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally chewy with a velvety, luscious texture; carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the beer's substantial weight and providing a smooth, gentle alcohol warmth.
