This session-strength Australian Sparkling Ale offers a modern, vibrant twist on the classic style. While traditional versions lean into earthy notes, this iteration bursts with a contemporary profile of floral and tropical fruitiness. Despite the sessionable 3.5% ABV, it retains the style’s hallmark effervescence and crisp, dry finish. A clean, bready malt backbone provides the necessary structure to carry the lively pome fruit esters of pear and apple, typical of the top-fermenting yeast. It is a refreshing, highly carbonated ale designed for long sessions, balancing a moderate bitterness with a bright, fruity hop presence that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Appearance. Medium gold (5 SRM). Tall, frothy, persistent white head with fine bubbles and significant lacing. Noticeable effervescence; displays brilliant clarity if decanted or a characteristic cloudy haze if the yeast is roused.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean, balanced mix of tropical fruit and floral hop notes. Underlying moderate bready malt sweetness is complemented by esters of pear and red apple. Very low sulfur or yeasty notes may be present if fresh.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and refreshing. Light grainy and bready malt flavors are quickly met by a moderate bitterness that rises mid-palate. Modern hop flavors of tropical fruit and flowers are prominent, supported by subtle pear esters. The finish is highly attenuated, dry, and clean with a lingering, slightly peppery hop bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with very high carbonation, providing a prickly, spritzy carbonic bite. Smooth texture with no alcohol warmth. Highly attenuated with a crisp, refreshing mouth-filling quality.
