Rise & Shine presents an indulgent sensory experience, blending the rich, roasted essence of Outpost Coffee Beans with a velvety Milk Stout base. The profile is defined by a deep, espresso-forward character that harmonizes with the creamy sweetness of lactose and dark roasted malts. Subtle dark chocolate and toffee notes emerge through the mid-palate, while the moderate 5.2% ABV provides a gentle, sessionable foundation. This infusion results in a seamless marriage of fresh-ground coffee aromatics and a rounded, luxurious mouthfeel, finishing with a balanced, bittersweet linger that highlights the quality of the locally roasted beans without overwhelming the base beer's malt-driven identity.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40) with a dense, persistent, mocha-colored head that leaves thick, creamy lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by freshly roasted coffee and espresso. Supporting malt notes of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, and toasted bread. Very low hop aroma and clean fermentation profile with negligible esters.

Taste. Initial impression of sweet cream and milk chocolate, followed immediately by a robust, authentic coffee flavor. The sweetness of the lactose is well-balanced by moderate bitterness from roasted grains and coffee acidity. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a clean mocha aftertaste and very low hop flavor.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a distinctively silky, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is low and well-integrated, with no significant astringency from the roasted ingredients.
