Session IPA 4.5 º
This American IPA presents a vibrant, hop-forward experience balanced by its sessionable nature. Aromas of bright citrus zest, resinous pine, and tropical stone fruit lead the way, supported by a clean, light grainy malt backbone. On the palate, a firm bitterness provides structure without being overwhelming, leading into a crisp, dry finish. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, allowing the New World hop profile to remain the focal point. Though lower in alcohol, it retains the classic punchy character of the style, delivering a refreshing yet complex sensory journey defined by its aromatic intensity and snappy bitterness.
Appearance. Medium gold (6-8 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves behind significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of grapefruit, resinous pine, and tropical mango. Supported by a low, clean, grainy maltiness. Fermentation profile is neutral and clean with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus and pine resin. Medium-high bitterness is clean and well-integrated. Low malt flavor presents as cracker-like and toasted grain. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation with no astringency and no perceptible alcohol warmth.

Deadbeat IPA has been brewed with longtime friends and collaborators Deadbeat and Bonehead in Birmingham. Many of you will remember our earlier collaboration Numbskull DIPA which we brewed as a house beer for those chicken wizards at Bonehead and now it's finally time for us to work some wizardy magic for Deadbeat Bar. We've teamed up to create a hazy, hoppy session IPA using Galaxy, Citra and Idaho 7 hops. Juicy, fruity and super sessionable helping even the most absent minded of wizards to enjoy the whole evening.
