This vibrant West Coast IPA celebrates the neighborhood of Lambrate with a sensory profile defined by its luminous clarity and expressive hop character. The base of Pils and Pale malts provides a lean, grainy foundation that allows the intricate hop blend to lead. New Zealand Motueka hops contribute sharp lime and citrus freshness, while American Citra and Cashmere varieties layer in lush tropical fruit and a subtle, distinctive spice. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, focusing the palate on a firm, assertive bitterness that remains crisp and polished. It finishes remarkably dry, leaving a lingering impression of exotic fruit and fresh-cut pine.
Appearance. Color is a brilliant, medium gold (approximately 7 SRM). It supports a medium-sized, bright white head with excellent persistence and fine-beaded lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of lime zest, crushed tropical fruit, and a hint of herbal spice. A low, clean, bready maltiness underpins the hops, while the fermentation profile remains neutral with no significant esters.
Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward, delivering intense flavors of grapefruit, melon, and lime. A low, grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a firm, medium-high bitterness that is clean and lacks harshness. The finish is decisively dry and crisp, with a long-lasting aftertaste of citrus peel and resinous hops.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly soft texture despite its crispness. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. There is a very subtle, integrated alcohol warmth.
