REIS is a refreshing Witbier that captures the essence of a summer journey through the Belgian countryside. Brewed with a traditional base of Pils malt, unmalted wheat, and oats, it presents a characteristic milky haze and a smooth, creamy texture. The sensory profile is led by bright, zesty orange zest, which provides a crisp citrus foundation. This is uniquely accented by the exotic addition of Sichuan pepper, contributing a cool, mentholated, and balsamic spice that elevates the classic Belgian yeast character. Highly effervescent and remarkably easy to drink, it culminates in a bone-dry, clean finish that balances subtle grain sweetness with complex botanical notes.
Appearance. Very pale straw (2-3 SRM) and very cloudy with a milky, whitish-yellow shine. Supports a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bready, grainy malt and light honey notes. Pronounced zesty orange citrus fruitiness is complemented by a unique balsamic and mentholated spice from the Sichuan pepper. Low spicy yeast esters; hop aroma is absent.
Taste. Initial bready and grainy malt flavors are followed by bright orange citrus. The mid-palate introduces a complex, cooling herbal spice from the Sichuan pepper that replaces traditional coriander notes. Low bitterness provides gentle support for the fruit and spice. Finishes refreshingly crisp and very dry with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, light creaminess from the oats and raw wheat. High carbonation creates a lively, effervescent character. No alcohol warmth; refreshing and crisp without any astringency.

REIS in fiammingo vuol dire “viaggio” e abbiamo ripensato a quel bel giro in bicicletta nei dintorni della zona di coltivazione del luppolo di Poperinge.
Un viaggio nella tradizione belga per una blanche con scorza d’arancia che conferisce note agrumate e citriche ma con l’aggiunta esotica del pepe di Sichuan per un apporto mentolato e balsamico.
Grandissima beva e un finale secco
Dopo tanti km passati a pedalare è ciò che vogliamo bere giunti a destinazione!
