Birrificio Argo

Inspired by the thermal town of Baden-Baden, this German Pils captures the essence of the northern Black Forest with a refined sensory profile. The nose presents a moderately high intensity of herbaceous and resinous hops, uniquely characterized by floral chamomile. Supporting this is a delicate, honey-like malt base reminiscent of toasted crackers. The palate is decisive and crisp, where the initial grainy sweetness is swiftly balanced by a firm hop bitterness and a refreshing, light citric note. This clean-fermented lager concludes with a bone-dry, flinty finish, embodying the refreshing and elegant nature of the traditional style.

Appearance. Brilliant straw to light gold color (SRM 2-3) with a thick, creamy, long-lasting white head and excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderately high hop aroma featuring herbal, resinous, and distinct floral chamomile notes. Low doughy and grainy-sweet malt character with a subtle hint of honey. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.

Taste. Crisp malt onset with doughy and honeyed cracker notes, quickly superseded by a firm hop bitterness. Flavors of herbs and chamomile persist, accented by a bright, light citric note. Finishes very dry and clean with a lingering, pleasant bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation. Crisp and refreshing with a slight flinty sharpness and no perceived alcohol warmth.
