Birrificio Abruzzese

This Hazy IPA from the Evolution series delivers an explosive sensory profile driven by experimental hop varieties and concentrated extracts. It opens with an intense bouquet of exotic tropical fruits layered over a distinct resinous backbone, showcasing the depth of modern hop applications. The 7% ABV provides a subtle, well-integrated warmth that supports a well-structured, bready malt base. On the palate, the experience is defined by its soft, plush mouthfeel and a juicy character that minimizes harsh bitterness. The finish is smooth and off-dry, leaving a lingering impression of pineapple and pine, highlighting the complexity achieved through biotransformation.

Appearance. Straw to deep gold with a distinct orange hue (5-7 SRM). The beer is opaque with a significant, consistent haze that provides a luminous shine. It is topped by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring dominant notes of mango, passion fruit, and resinous pine. A clean, bready, and lightly grainy malt character sits in the background. Fermentation esters are fruity and supportive, without any sulfur or harsh alcohol notes.

Taste. High tropical hop flavor with exotic fruit and citrus pith, followed by a light resinous quality. The malt is low to medium, providing a neutral, doughy foundation. Perceived bitterness is moderate but soft, avoiding any hop bite. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a light, pleasant alcohol warmth consistent with its strength, but the beer remains highly drinkable with no astringency or raw hop burn.
