S-Monkey is a compelling Rauchbier that masterfully balances its approachable 4.5% ABV with a robust, autumnal profile. It pours a deep, brilliant amber with a rich tan head. The sensory journey begins with an assertive aroma of smoked meats, reminiscent of artisanal salumi and beechwood-fired Rauchmalz. Beneath the smoke lies a base of toasty malt and a distinct woody character. On the palate, the integration of wood and smoke is seamless, supported by a clean lager fermentation and moderate bitterness. Despite its lighter body, the flavor remains intense and lingering, finishing with a satisfying, medium-dry crispness.
Appearance. Deep amber to coppery-brown with brilliant clarity. Features a large, creamy, tan-colored head with excellent retention and light lacing.
