This refreshing Witbier showcases a vibrant citrus profile driven by the addition of organic Verdello lemon zest and sweet orange. Appearance. Deep yellow to golden (3-4 SRM) with a cloudy, milky appearance due to the wheat. Features a dense, persistent white, moussy head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Preponderant notes of zesty Verdello lemon and orange citrus mingle with moderate bready maltiness and hints of bread crust. Subtle spicy yeast esters and a light honey-like sweetness are present, without significant hop aroma.
Taste. Refreshing initial impression of citrus fruitiness and grainy malt. The Giustalisa wheat contributes a bready, cereal flavor and a light, pleasant tartness. Hop bitterness is low (approx. 15 IBU), serving only to balance the malt. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering citrus zest aftertaste.
