This dark lager presents an inviting bouquet of coffee and dark chocolate derived from expertly roasted grains, supported by a backbone of Munich and Pilsner malts that provide subtle bready sweetness and a hint of caramel. Despite its dark appearance, the beer maintains the clean, elegant fermentation profile of a traditional German lager. It is remarkably drinkable at 4.3% ABV, offering a smooth palate that transitions from bitter-chocolate notes to a soft, slightly sweet finish that avoids any burnt or acrid harshness.
Appearance. Deep mahogany to very dark brown with brilliant clarity and prominent ruby highlights when held to light. Crowned by a large, persistent, tan-colored head with fine lacing.
