American IPA 6.9 º
This classic West Coast IPA presents a vibrant aromatic profile through a unique blend of Triumph, Tango, Calista, and Simcoe hops. The sensory journey begins with an intense bouquet of fresh, resinous pine from the Simcoe, beautifully contrasted by the lush stone fruit qualities of peach driven by the Triumph and Calista additions. A clean, lean malt backbone allows the complex hop character to remain the undisputed focal point. True to the style's heritage, the palate is distinctively dry with a firm, crisp bitterness that lingers pleasantly, offering a refreshing and sophisticated interpretation of the American IPA.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity, ranging from deep gold to light amber (approx. 8 SRM). Features a medium-sized, white, persistent head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent notes of resinous pine, ripe peach, and subtle citrus. The fermentation profile is clean, supported by a low, grainy malt character with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward, highlighting flavors of resin, pine, and stone fruit. A medium-high to high bitterness is balanced by a low, clean, grainy malt presence. The finish is notably dry and crisp, with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a lively mouthfeel. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
