This Session IPA is a vibrant, hop-forward showcase of Sabro hops, supported by a soft malt base featuring wheat. The aroma is high and inviting, bursting with tropical fruit, tangerine, and the signature cream-of-coconut and cedar notes characteristic of the Sabro variety. On the palate, a crisp, bready grain character from the frumento provides a light-bodied foundation that balances a clean, moderate bitterness. This creates a highly drinkable, bone-dry finish. It is an effervescent and refreshing interpretation of a Specialty IPA, emphasizing bright fruit esters and hop oils while maintaining a sessionable profile.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (3–5 SRM). Displays a persistent, dense white head with fine lacing. Noticeable haze is present due to the inclusion of wheat, though it remains luminous rather than murky.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring distinct coconut, pineapple, and stone fruit notes from the New World hops. A light citrus peel and woody cedar background is complemented by a low, bready, and slightly grainy malt character. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus. The malt flavor is low but provides a soft, bready wheat base. Hop flavor is medium-high, echoing the coconut and tropical fruit found in the aroma. Bitterness is moderate and clean, providing enough structure to balance the malt without becoming harsh. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering citrus and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slight creaminess from the wheat proteins. Carbonation is moderate-high, enhancing the refreshing and prickly nature of the beer. No alcohol warmth is detected, and astringency is absent.
