This American IPA presents a vibrant celebration of spring, harmonizing a complex grain bill of Moravian, Vienna, Munich, and Caramel malts with punchy Oregon hops. The aroma leads with a high-intensity burst of citrus and melon from Amarillo, closely followed by the resinous, piney depth of Simcoe. On the palate, the toasty, bready foundation provided by the Vienna and Munich malts offers a sturdy platform for the clean, firm bitterness of Bravo hops. The finish is decidedly hop-forward and crisp, balancing floral top notes with a lingering resinous aftertaste. It is a well-integrated ale that elegantly showcases the heritage of Haná malts alongside the bold fruitiness of the Pacific Northwest.
Appearance. Medium gold to light amber in color. Displays brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, off-white head that shows good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit and orange citrus, combined with tropical melon and a distinct resinous pine. A light, clean bready maltiness with hints of honey and toast provides a subtle background. Fermentation profile is clean.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-dominant with flavors of citrus peel, passionfruit, and pine needle. The malt profile is supportive, offering toasted bread and light caramel flavors. Bitterness is medium-high to firm but remains clean. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop resins. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a crisp mouthfeel. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
