The aroma leads with rich caramelized sugar, soft caramel from roasted malt, and warm spices, layered over a backdrop of plum and raisin esters. On the palate, a gentle, malty sweetness unfurls, showcasing luscious dark fruit and a subtle, peppery phenolic depth. Despite its warming 8% alcohol presence, the beer finishes remarkably smooth and moderately dry. It balances a medium-full body with active carbonation, yielding an elegant, round monastic classic that lingers beautifully with hints of toasted sugar and spice.

Appearance. Deep dark amber to rich copper with a brilliant reddish depth and excellent clarity. It is topped by a large, dense, and long-lasting creamy off-white head that leaves elegant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderately strong, rich malty sweetness featuring prominent notes of caramelized sugar and soft caramel, supported by toasted grain. Moderate fruity esters suggest raisins, dried plums, and dark cherries.
