Velocity is a powerful Double IPA that showcases an explosive tropical profile driven by a sophisticated blend of Idaho 7, Ekuanot, Cashmere, and Citra hops. This Triple New England style IPA delivers an intense sensory experience, leading with pungent aromas of overripe mango, papaya, and bright grapefruit. On the palate, the high-alpha hop punch is softened by a velvety, pillowy mouthfeel and a supportive, bready malt backbone. While the 10% ABV provides a significant, well-integrated warmth, the finish remains remarkably smooth, highlighting the lush stone fruit and citrus zest characteristics typical of Bereta’s modern, heavy-handed dry-hopping techniques.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM); opaque with a thick, creamy, off-white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves dense lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by tropical fruits like mango and papaya, alongside citrus grapefruit and lime. Subtle notes of pine and melon emerge from the Idaho 7 and Ekuanot. Low, neutral, bready malt provides a quiet foundation. Clean fermentation profile with a soft, sweet alcohol presence.

Taste. Intense hop flavor featuring layers of lemon zest, melon, and tropical punch. Bitterness is firm but smooth, lacking any harshness. Malt is supportive and soft, offering a light cracker-like sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a long, lingering resinous and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and creamy with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate. Significant but smooth alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 10% strength, without being solventy.
