True Oasis is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases the expressive potential of New Zealand hops. A heavy-handed addition of Rakau and Motueka drives a sensory profile defined by bright lime zest, crushed mojito mint, and lush stone fruits like apricot. The 8.3% ABV provides a sturdy backbone without overshadowing the hop-saturated character. While intensely hoppy, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable with a clean, neutral malt profile that allows the tropical and citrus oils to shine. It successfully balances a firm, resinous bitterness against a dry finish, avoiding the heavy sweetness often found in higher-gravity ales, resulting in a modern and refreshing hop experience.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7–9 SRM) with good clarity, though a light hop-derived haze is present. It features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of fresh lime, tropical fruit, and ripe apricot. Malt character is clean, neutral, and supportive with a grainy quality. Fermentation is very clean with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol note and no significant esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus and stone fruit flavor. Hop-derived lime, peach, and resinous pine dominate over a soft, unobtrusive malt base. Bitterness is high but smooth and not harsh. The finish is medium-dry and crisp, with a lingering hoppy aftertaste and a touch of clean alcohol.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, creating a lively mouth-coating sensation. A restrained and smooth alcohol warmth is present without any perceived astringency.
