Bereta Brewing Co.

This Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant sensory profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Nelson Sauvin (Lot LM20) and Citra hops. On the nose, intense notes of crushed white grapes and gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin mingle with Citra’s signature bursts of tropical mango and bright lime zest. The palate follows with a lush, fruit-forward complexity, offering a juicy interplay of stone fruit and citrus over a soft, bready malt base. The appearance is characteristically opaque with a luminous golden glow and a dense, rocky head. Delivering a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel and restrained bitterness, it finishes with a clean, lingering essence of tropical punch.

Appearance. Straw to light golden (4 SRM). Opaque with a hazy, luminous shine and no visible particulates. Persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical fruit and white wine notes. Distinct crushed grape, gooseberry, and passion fruit from Nelson Sauvin are complemented by Citra's lime and grapefruit zest. Background notes of bready, grainy malt with no caramel or toast. Clean fermentation profile with subtle fruity esters.

Taste. High fruity hop flavor featuring mango, lychee, and citrus zest. Low to moderate perceived bitterness that is well-integrated and never harsh. The malt provides a neutral, lightly bready foundation. Finishes soft and off-dry with a lingering tropical and vinous aftertaste. No alcohol harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft, and pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift. No astringency or raw starchiness. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
