Hypnotized is a luminously hazy IPA that captures a complex spectrum of orchard and tropical notes through a heavy dry-hopping of Eclipse, Riwaka, and Peacharine. The aroma is dominated by ripe nectarine and peach from the Peacharine hops, underscored by the sharp mandarin and citrus peel of Eclipse. Riwaka adds a punchy tropical layer of passionfruit and zesty grapefruit. On the palate, the mouthfeel is exceptionally soft and pillowy, allowing the juicy stone fruit and citrus flavors to lead without a harsh bitter finish. This collaboration showcases a vibrant, saturated hop profile with a smooth, approachable drinkability that defines the modern Hazy IPA style.
Appearance.Pours a deep straw to light gold (approx 4–5 SRM) with a dense, opaque haze that creates a luminous glow. It is topped by a thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma.High intensity aromatics lead with stone fruit, specifically peach and apricot from the Peacharine hops. This is complemented by Riwaka’s pungent passionfruit and pink grapefruit notes, while Eclipse contributes a bright mandarin orange and subtle piney resin. Low, bready-grainy malt serves as a clean base, with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste.Explodes with flavors of sweet peach, nectarine, and tropical passionfruit. The Eclipse hops provide a secondary citrus layer of mandarin orange. The malt is lightly bready and supportive, not sweet. Bitterness is low to moderate, perceived as soft and well-integrated into the fruit profile. The finish is off-dry and exceptionally smooth, featuring a lingering juice-like aftertaste without any hop astringency.
Mouthfeel.Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate. No harshness or astringency is present, though a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is noticeable.
