Bereta Brewing Co.

Hide & Seek is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a sophisticated hop blend of Citra, Idaho 7, and Talus. It pours with a luminous, opaque glow, releasing an intense bouquet of pink grapefruit, dried rose petals, and ripe mango. The palate is defined by a lush, juicy character, where the Citra provides a tropical backbone of pineapple and lime, while Idaho 7 contributes deep notes of stone fruit and a hint of pine. Talus adds a distinctive layer of citrus zest and herbal sage. With a soft, pillowy texture and restrained bitterness, it finishes clean with a lingering essence of tropical nectar.

Appearance. Pours a deep straw to pale gold with a consistent, opaque haze that creates a brilliant shine. Topped with a dense, white, meringue-like head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics lead with a punch of tropical mango and guava from the Citra. This is layered with apricot and subtle resinous pine from the Idaho 7, followed by the unique floral, pink grapefruit, and sage-like character of Talus. Malt remains in the background as soft, bready, and grainy notes without any toast or caramel.

Taste. The flavor is dominated by a high-intensity fruit profile echoing the aroma. Initial impressions of sweet citrus and pineapple transition into complex stone fruit and herbal grapefruit zest. Malt provides a supportive, lightly bready foundation. The bitterness is low to medium-low, perceived as soft rather than sharp, ensuring a balanced, off-dry finish that emphasizes juice-like hop saturation over hop bite.

Mouthfeel. Medium to medium-full body with a remarkably smooth and soft mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to the beer's pillowy texture. There is no astringency or harshness, and the 6.1% ABV provides a very light, well-integrated warmth.
