This Cold IPA presents a sharp, ultra-clean profile designed to spotlight a complex hop quartet. High-intensity aromatics of tropical mango and papaya from Azacca and Citra lead the charge, immediately followed by the crisp, resinous pine of Chinook. The background offers subtle stone fruit and spice notes attributed to Triumph. Unlike traditional ales, the fermentation is exceptionally neutral, allowing the lean, grainy malt to provide a featherweight canvas. The result is a brilliantly clear, refreshingly dry experience where the assertive bitterness is scrubbed clean by high carbonation, finishing with a lingering, resinous citrus zest and a snappy, crisp finish that defines the modern Cold IPA approach.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, bright white head with excellent persistence and fine-beaded lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with dominant notes of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and a distinct resinous pine. Very low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no detectable esters or phenols.
Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward and crisp. Bold flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, and spruce tips are supported by a very low, cracker-like malt backbone. Bitterness is medium-high to firm but clean. The finish is very dry and snappy with a lingering, resinous hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. High carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated, with no astringency.
