Another One Down is a celebratory Hazy IPA that radiates a vibrant sensory profile driven by the specific synergy of Citra, Simcoe, and Columbus hops. It opens with an explosive bouquet of tropical mango and passionfruit, underpinned by a distinct resinous dankness from the Columbus. The palate is defined by a lush, juice-like character where Citra provides bright grapefruit and lime zest notes, while Simcoe adds a complex layer of earthy pine and stone fruit. A bready, soft malt backbone supports the massive hop oils, leading to a smooth, low-bitterness finish that remains clean and refreshing.
Appearance. Color is a deep gold (6 SRM) with a thick, opaque haze that provides a characteristic glow. It supports a tall, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of ripe pineapple, passionfruit, and citrus peel. A secondary layer of resinous pine and dank earthiness is present. Malt is low and bready, while fermentation is clean with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical and citrus hop flavors, mimicking the aroma. Low bready malt flavor provides a neutral base. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft mouthfeel. The finish is off-dry and lingering with fruit-forward hop character and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth delivery. Light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 6.2% ABV, with zero astringency.
