Belzebuth 13° presents a formidable interpretation of the Belgian Golden Strong Ale, pushing the style’s boundaries with its potent 13% ABV. A luminous golden-copper pour leads into a complex bouquet of ripe pear, red apple esters, and a distinct peppery alcohol presence. The palate begins with a fleeting grainy-sweet malt impression before surging into a dry, piquant finish defined by herbal hop bitterness and spicy yeast phenolics. Despite its massive strength, the beer maintains an effervescent, lively character, masking its intensity with a refined balance of fruity esters and a lingering, warming glow that defines its high-gravity heritage.

Appearance. Deep gold to burnished copper in color (6-9 SRM). Brilliant clarity with vigorous effervescence. Forms a massive, long-lasting, rocky white head that leaves significant characteristic lacing.

Aroma. High intensity bouquet featuring pronounced fruity esters of ripe pear and apple. Moderate herbal and floral hop character provides a spicy counterpoint to a nearly neutral, slightly grainy-sweet malt base. Noticeable peppery and perfumy alcohol notes are present but lack solvent harshness.
