This vibrant Grisette presents a refreshing, sessionable interpretation of the Saison style, elevated by the addition of pink guava and rhubarb. The sensory profile is dominated by the tropical intensity of the pink guava, harmonizing with the sharp, tangy brightness of the rhubarb. Beneath the fruit, a delicate dry-hop character provides floral nuances, while the classic peppery yeast phenols add a sophisticated spice. Brewed with a base of soft, grainy wheat malt, it offers a remarkably dry and crisp finish. The balance between fruit sweetness and a gentle tartness makes this light-bodied ale exceptionally bright and effervescent.
Appearance. Pours a hazy, pale gold with a soft pinkish-salmon hue from the fruit. Topped by a dense, rocky white head with excellent retention and delicate Belgian lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of tropical pink guava and tart rhubarb dominate. These are complemented by moderate spicy yeast notes of black pepper and a subtle floral, citrusy dry-hop character. A light, grainy wheat malt presence lingers in the background.
Taste. The palate leads with a burst of tropical guava followed quickly by the zesty snap of rhubarb. Moderate peppery yeast phenols provide depth, while the wheat malt adds a soft, rustic graininess. It features low bitterness, balanced by a light acidity, concluding in a very dry, clean, and crisp finish.
