This refreshing Blonde Ale captures the essence of sunshine through a vibrant interplay of citrus and soft malt. The addition of natural mandarine juice creates an immediate, zesty brightness that complements the distinctive Mandarine Bavaria hops. Dry-hopping with Ekuanot introduces complex layers of tropical fruit and lime zest, enhancing the primary citrus character. Beneath the fruit-forward profile, a clean, grainy malt base provides a gentle sweetness that balances the mild bitterness. Light-bodied and crisp, it finishes with a lingering mandarin essence and a clean fermentation profile, making it an exceptionally approachable and sessionable summer pint.
Appearance. Light yellow to pale gold (SRM 3–4); brilliant clarity with a moderate white head that exhibits fair retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity citrus-forward aroma. Prominent notes of fresh mandarin orange and tangerine from the juice and Mandarine Bavaria hops. The Ekuanot dry-hopping adds nuances of tropical melon and lime peel. A low grainy-sweet malt presence supports the fruit without competing, accompanied by a very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial soft, grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a bright, juicy mandarin flavor. The hop profile is moderate, echoing the citrus and tropical notes of the aroma. Bitterness is medium-low, providing just enough structure to balance the fruit sweetness without becoming aggressive. The finish is medium-dry and clean, leaving a light, refreshing aftertaste of orange zest.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. High carbonation provides a lively, refreshing prickle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is non-existent.
