This Belgian IPA presents a vibrant sensory profile defined by its warm orange hue and a modern hop expression. Driven by a significant dry-hopping regimen of Simcoe and Idaho, the aroma is highly impactful, bursting with zesty lemon and lush exotic fruits. On the palate, the hop-forward balance delivers intense citrus notes and tropical nuances against a backdrop of lean, supportive malts. Appearance. Warm orange in color (approx 8-12 SRM). Generally clear with a persistent, moderate-sized off-white head that demonstrates good retention and lacing.
Aroma. High hop aroma with prominent notes of lemon zest, pineapple, and mango. Background notes of resinous pine from the Simcoe hops. Low bready malt character with a clean fermentation profile and very light fruity esters.
Taste. Flavor is hop-forward, featuring assertive lemon and tropical exotic fruit. Moderate to high bitterness that is clean and firm. Medium-low malt flavor provides a light grainy-sweet base that does not distract from the hops. Finish is dry to off-dry with a lingering, crisp citrus aftertaste.
