Beertag Indian Pale Ale

IPA - India Pale Ale 6.8 º 50 IBU
This American IPA presents a bold sensory experience, leading with a punchy aromatic profile of bright citrus and pungent resin. A foundational layer of soft caramel malt provides a necessary counterpoint to the intense hop character, ensuring the beer remains balanced despite its assertive profile. Visually, it pours a deep, dark amber with a characteristic haze and a persistent, creamy white head. The palate follows the nose, delivering vibrant fruity and citrus flavors that transition into a firm, lingering bitterness. At 6.8% ABV, it offers a substantial presence and a smooth, clean finish that highlights its intensely hopped character without any harsh astringency.
Appearance. Deep dark amber (12–14 SRM); cloudy and hazy clarity with an abundant, white, medium-density head that shows excellent persistence.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of resinous pine and sharp citrus. Supported by a medium-low malt character of sweet caramel and toasted grain. Low fruity fermentation esters are detectable.
Taste. Strong initial impression of citrus and tropical fruit hops. The mid-palate features a supportive but restrained caramel malt sweetness. High bitterness that is firm and clean, leading into a medium-dry finish with a long, lingering hop aftertaste and no astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium to medium-full body with a smooth, substantial texture. Moderate to high carbonation. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without being hot.
